The Virtual Pastry Shop Papela’s New Venture
The Papela started as a small pastry shop in London by co-op of young international pastry chefs. The shop combined techniques from all around the world to serve the most beautiful and odd flavored pastries. The only problem was the same problem all extremely tasty things have, not very light on the fat factor.
Even though the shop was doing rather well, in 2040 one of its founders, Rodger Moray, decided to educate himself in the world of virtual tastes. His newfound knowledge soon led to an obsession with an artificial taste sensation that led to the reinvention of his and friend’s little shop.
They soon opened the most popular virtual pastry shop today, providing the highest level of flavor illusion with zero calories.
Now the great, great, grandson of Mr. Moray, Edgar Moray, is adding a new experience to their shops. Have you tasted actual clouds? What a sliver of a star? Or maybe the taste of freedom?
Young Moray is now experimenting with turning an intangible concept into something you can experience through taste. Supposedly, if one purchased the taste of clouds, they would experience being in one or surrounded by one.
The Morays have not disappointed us yet, so we will have a slice of light with extra stardust.
