Sky Dwellers – The Upper Tiny House Movement

The ground-bound Tiny House Movement began around the 21st century and quickly gained momentum till it became a widespread phenomenon filling vast open lands with tiny house communities.

Though it started as a movement that symbolized simple living in self-sustainable dwellings that were small, and off the grid, the movement soon became a much wider umbrella for anybody who wanted to live differently.

Communities of like-minded people bought masses of virgin lands, where they set up elaborate, but tiny homes together. Each of these communities adopted a lifestyle unique to them and a joint ideology. One such famous dwelling was the Star Wars Pescatarian Colony that set up camp in the Catskills. The colony exists to this day, though they have built their community upwards, in a complex interwoven construct, which would hardly be called tiny.

In the past ten years “Tiny” has gotten an upgrade, with flocks of people setting camp in the sky. Owners of this new evolved form of Tiny living claim that the money it cost to fuel their tiny sky home is still less than the rent they would have to pay on the ground.

Currently air real-estate remains un-zoned in most areas of the world, meaning that technically, for now, one can plant their flag in most areas that are not in traffic routs or in close proximity to a city skyline.

Kiki Jones says; “My home feels like a sweet little birds nest in the sky. Every day I look out at the clouds and feel unbound and unrestricted.“

Kiki works from home, she has a molecular churner that takes care of her nutritional needs and is signed up for a fueling service that comes up to her to reenergize her tanks.

Good for you Kiki! Most of us can only dream of living among the birds.
