The sonic garden opera did it again!
For the past two decades, the sonic garden opera has been bestowing upon us the most marvelous operas, performing with plants bioengineered to react to the various sounds of the opera with rapid growth on stage!
The plants are allocated to different singers and instruments from the stage of seedling until their cue to fully bloom during the performance.
This year the sonic plants were placed between the audience's seats, the hallways, and even outside the building with nano speakers so that passersby could also enjoy the event.
Bright red roses bloomed across the dark green vines that climbed up to ceilings. Yellow magnolias awoke on the side of the buildings. The hallways were flooded with orange tulips. On the stage, a massive oak was born and came into full growth as the protagonist hit her highest note, all the while vines of white wisteria flowers dangled down from above in the background.
It was a festival of life, sound, and color that words could do justice to.
After the tragic accident on the sonic garden voyager to floater F84, which killed five of the lead singers, it was unclear if the opera would bounce back. But boy did they, with a fierceness that opens this holiday season with a jolly bang.
Tickets have been sold out for months, but if you are one of the lucky ones who got them, you are in for a treat. Write to us and tell us all about it!
