A big celebratory tea party took place in Barbados, with the tiny hatchlings flapping their wings at its center. Only the most famous and influential figures of our time were invited, and they were all dressed as different variations of Alice from Wonderland.

 

The mystical birds of legends will be scattered throughout the world to see where they would best survive.

 

Volunteer caretakers will assist the birds until they are fully-grown and independent. They will not have to dress up as Alice to do so. It’s a brave new world where the past is leaking into the present in the best most fantastical way. I can’t wait to walk out my door one morning to see a dodo bird lounging alongside the city pigeons.
