Terraforming Reality TV Show Premiers Saturday
In the past decade reality TV has had some extreme twists; from clothes designing in open space to swimming home from the Artic. Just when it seems that everything has been done Warner Bros. brings us an epic new twist.
Two teams are going head to head this spring in a competition to Terraform one of Saturn’s moons.
Saturn has a culmination of 82 moons outside of its rings. But its moon Titan, is the second-largest moon in the solar system, with a hydrogen earth-like atmosphere.
Rumors about the show have been circulating for months, ever since Warner Bros. won the bid for the moon.
The teams are made up of highly trained scientists. Each week one team will be tasked with a different terraforming assignment, and every two weeks a winner will be declared. The team with the highest point grade at the end of the process will be named the winner.
The team that wins will receive an unsettled moon of their own. A massive terraforming budget and unlimited gold for a gold run hyper-speed engine, courtesy of Mrs. Friday, owner of the Gold Tree project.
Weather engineer Herbert Windsor says that he dreams of creating an organic lemon farming community on his part of the moon, should his team win.
Chemist and bio-engineer Malik Mara, says he’d use his part of the moon land to build a research facility for live plant bio fabrics, that will change our relationship with fashion and nature.
This show promises an exhilarating, genius feat of man versus the most hardcore elements.
Though I like me some real lemons, I for one can’t wait to get my hands on a suit made of creeping thyme. So I’m team Mara for now.
What will they do with the newly Terraformed Titan? Well, that’s for the next reality TV show, "Civilization", where a group of people will be tasked with creating a functioning society from scratch, without modern equipment.
