Space Pop – Taste the Beyond
By Sam Lustig
Many of you have perhaps already heard that catchy new jingle, “Space Pop, lalalalalala – Taste the Beyond Ooooh oooohh” But have you tasted it?! Is it a drink you can hear or is it music you can drink? It’s hard to decide which one it is, but once you have those audible bubbles go down your throat and up your brain, you may find yourself swaying uncontrollably or bobbing your head to whatever tune you got.
Each bottle has different music in it and you never know what you’re gonna get. This is definitely an experience for an open music lover. I gave my son a sip and when he heard Electro Beethoven in his own head he nearly had a stroke.
So far, I have been pleasantly surprised by the music I gulped down, but a good friend of mine drank a whole bottle on his own while he was on his way to a funeral. I don’t know what he was thinking. Perhaps he was hoping for an android rendition of Ava Maria, but instead he got hours of Jay Z opera rapping, which could have been an almost-fit if it weren’t for the rapid electro beats that bounced back and forth on the walls of his head. It took every fiber of his being not to break out in dance and “twirl-twirk-drop it like it’s cold” around the grave.
But funerals aside, an audible drink is a perfect fit for any occasion. Have you tasted the beyond? If you’ve had a cool experience with Space Pop, share it with us!
