Should Police Enter Invisible Cloaks into their Arsenal of Weapons?
By Louise Farfell
A current and very heated discussion is going on now as to whether police should be allowed to wear invisible cloaks while pursuing their suspects.
Just recently the Invisible Cloak Society has been declared to have the legal right to wear cloaks, but it is one thing for private citizens to wear cloaks for fun and another matter for the police to use this, possibly infringing on world citizens' right to privacy.
Many of the arguments are about the possibility of wayward officers entering couples and throuples' bedrooms and watching them have sex without them knowing. Unscrupulous officers could also stealthily enter homes and see where families keep their money.
The above further supports the argument that these protective bodies should not be tempted by the perverse and illegal aspects of cloak wearing.
We at the paper realize that criminals are getting smarter and smarter every day, and that catching them has proved quite a challenge. It is a help that only those belonging to the Invisible Cloak Society are allowed to own these cloaks, as they are registered and vetted, and the illicit use of these cloaks are still traceable. But still, the question regarding crime fighters' right to use them looms at large.
This is not a question that is going to be solved soon, and we expect this to be an ongoing discussion for months to come.
Please write your congressmen, your senators, governors, heads of states with your opinion. This will help them to examine the matter more carefully, and to at least consider the sensibilities of the citizens who will be effected.
