Robot Alien Love
By M.B. Alexander
“When an alien loves a robot, can’t keep his mind nothing else. He’d trade the world for the good thing he found.” Which is exactly what people are afraid of...
Pauleta Barthalemyu, once the family android of the house of Barthalemyu, has fallen deeply in love with a foreign visitor from another planet. The house of Barthalemyu is a wealthy robotic empire that brought us all smell-tech and empathy software.
Zeeeeem ah ah la puck, the other half of this love affair is an alien prince of the Eznorth species, which is relatively new to humanity, only having exposed their presence in the past five years ago.
Why is this coupling scaring some people?
Well, many citizens are afraid that Pauleta could trade in secret human patents for hugs. After all, Pauleta was eventually adopted by the robot empire as one of their own children. As a close member of the family, she has been exposed to all sorts of sensitive information.
Some are also worried that this union creates a president that may lead to a union of robots and aliens in the future, which will exclude humanity. And we all know how humanity hates to be left out.
But others think that the Eznorth is a far more advanced species than us, who would not require human tech. Those others have gone as far as to speculate that Pauleta is the one spying on the Eznorth tech on behalf of the house of Barthalemyu.
Of course, there are still many of us that are praising the union and not afraid of a robot alien uprising.
We are a fearful bunch, humanity, and maybe rightfully so. We’ve had our fair share of trouble, and we perhaps are justified for our defensive nature. But if we gave in to our fears, would we have ever created Martian Milkshakes? Would we have air-cars or teacup dinosaurs? No, and what are our lives without those things? Do drunk air-car drivers sometimes park in our balconies, maybe, but is it not worth it to travel among the birds in your own vehicle?
So to those fearful opposers of this union, open your minds to the good things that could come of this. Like alien robot love songs. We all know it will be our future jam.
