Hum Yum is a unique automated baking device that reacts to the tone and pitch of your voice. Each ingredient has a designated sound resonance and the quantity required for a specific tempo. This is a truly new form of baking.

 

But in an age where you can get any type of food you want to be printed in your personal molecular food churner, it is a much-needed hobby. We need a new twist on baking to get us back into the kitchen.

 

Of course, Hum Yum is not without its faults: if you make a mistake or sing out of pitch you may accidentally add salt instead of sugar to your cookies. If you can’t carry a tune at all, you’ll certainly get yourself into all sorts of trouble. For instance, a friend invited me to a Hum Yum afternoon dessert and unfortunately, she had to learn the hard way that singing was not her thing, pickles are rarely a good idea in a chocolate soufflé. I can't imagine what note she sang to bring that into the mix.
