Genius Vtech-Engineer Escapes
After a Year in Captivity
Etto Hensley was considered by many to be the best Vtech engineer of our generation. He brought us works such as “Dolphin Life”, “Eternal Eden”, “Sky Fallers”, and “Return to the Womb”, the latter winning him a Nobel prize for the physiological miracle remedy the program proved to be for the chronically mentally ill.
In a former interview, Hensley told the paper that he himself spent between twenty to thirty minutes every evening in that program. “Something about re-experiencing that period in human life of absolute love and nurturing rejuvenates me and gives me the energy to give to others,” he said.
When Hensley disappeared many had hoped that he had chosen to stay off the radar in order to create his new masterpiece. After all, few have the maverick detail sensibility of Etto, and the wishful among his fans wanted to believe he needed space to concentrate. But others speculated that he may have been killed, or gone mad and got lost in space.
Unfortunately, he had been earthbound for the whole year. Kidnapped by a “super fan”, who wanted Hensley to re-create his whole childhood in the form of virtual reality, tailored just for him.
The police have told the paper that he was forced to look at endless photos and hear every detailed story of his captor’s life. The kidnapper had lost his family in an aerial vehicle accident when he was thirteen, and he had since longed to be with them again.
Luckily for Hensley, he was very good at his craft. He created a program so authentic and so consuming that his capture became addicted and forgot to disconnect from the virtual reality. Hensley had planned his escape for months, stealing little things here and there every day, for his escape, while his capturer was busy with the program.
So when he finally was completely immersed, Hensley seized the opportunity, freed himself from his cell, and made a run for it.
We are so glad Hensley is safe and free. If there was ever a moment to use “Return to Womb” it would be now.
