Flying Baby
By Louise Farfell
Mrs. Schnectedy, principal of the elementary school in Upper (Up in the sky) New York, USA, Planet Earth, on Wednesday suffered what could have been a fatal heart attack. On one of those rare days, she decided to be nostalgic and wash her dishes the old-fashioned way by using the sink with water and looking out the window that faced the local air traffic. Imagine her surprise when she saw her 3-year old grandson gleefully flying by using Ford the IV's upgraded product: metal wings.
These wings are inspired by the centuries-old design of Leonardo Da Vinci but have been streamlined and modernized to fit our busy and often crowded highways in the air. Although the wings have been approved for sale by the Intergalactic Domestic Flight Department, they are recommended for use for those 18 and older.
When questioned at the hospital, Mrs. Schnectedy said, "Oh, I was just looking out my window, examining the clouds, watching the flying cars, when out of the blue, I saw my three-year-old grandson flying by. I wanted to run out the door to get him but I was so overwhelmed by shock, I blacked out."
One of the neighbors saw the little tike pass by and went out to grab him. As she grabbed him she saw that the principal's door was wide open and discovered Mrs. Schnectedy lying on the floor. Luckily for Mrs. Schnectedy, her neighbor, Charlotte, knew how to use the beamer up device stored in the living room and beamed her neighbor to the closest medical center just in time.
The little toddler's mother, Penelope, Mrs. Schnectedy's daughter, had no idea her son had found the wings she had purchased and hidden for her husband's birthday.
She thanked Charlotte profusely for saving her little boy and, of course, her mother.
We at the paper salute you, Charlotte! God willing there will be more good Samaritans like you!
