Einsteins’ 2171 - Resurrection or Cloning?

By Wolf Gnat

On a bright and crisp winter morning, twelve exceptional young people walked out to the snowy front yard of a mansion in a small town of New Jersey. To the eyes of several hovering drone cameras, they presented to the world the next generation of potential geniuses. Who are these so-called brainiacs? Why they are quite literally the Einsteins of 2171.

When Einstein died, Thomas Stoltz Harvey, the pathologist that conducted the autopsy on his body, stole his brain. He hoped to study the brain to unravel the secret of his brilliance. Of course, he was not very successful and eventually returned Einstein's brain to his family for burial many years later.

But he was not the only one to steal pieces of Albert before his burial. Apparently, several samples of DNA were kept from him by a few different entities, who traded his DNA for years on the black market.

When human cloning had finally succeeded, the price of those said samples skyrocketed, becoming as valuable a commodity as a Picasso painting. But with anti-human cloning laws, we never thought we’d actually see the day the Einsteins DNA would be used to resurrect him.

But it seems that the government is very much involved in this cloning project. These little ones were created for a reason. From birth, they were destined to work on a government-sanctioned project. Though the project has labeled as been top-secret, a little bird told us it deals with time manipulation.

But is it him? Are they him?

The twelve children ages 9-14 are made purely of his DNA. They were incubated in artificial wombs in a section of this mansion, and this mansion is the only world they have ever known. A stark difference to the upbringing of Albert Einstien, who grew up in the robust city of Munich in Germany.

So far they are showing signs of incredible mental abilities. But how will such minds merge with the year 2171? A time with so many unusual and advanced thinkers.

Will they be Albert Einsteins? Or other Einsteins? Will they be welcomed to society or endure the fear sometimes projected onto clones in our world? How will these twelve children change our world?

We will follow these Einsteins and update you on all their brainy developments.
