Halloween in 2171 - Changing Skins

It's fun to dress up, to try on a different exterior and become something else completely for a day or a year...or even a lifetime.
In the year 2171 getting a different exterior is easier than ever. You can use Google Flash Face to alternate between different holographic face-masks of your choice or grab a transformative-nanotech-body suit and completely change your outer layer to anything from cyborg Homer Simpson to an Albert Einstein. Heck, you can skip the sentient characters and just be a walking cupcake.
You can go to the full extreme and temporarily download your consciousness into a smart dog or a computerized haunted house where you can freak out everyone you know. Just be very careful not to lose huge chunks of your memory when reinstating your consciousness to your original form.
We live in a time when we can appear to be whoever we want, not just on Halloween. Between android avatars, virtual reality characters, and face deformation concoctions of all sorts, hiding who we are can be all too easy.
But we must remember that who we are is what makes life worth living. There is only one person who is truly like you, living your unique life. Unless, you are a clone of someone else, but even then replications are nevers exact. Each of our narratives is epic and unparalleled to any other.
So have fun dressing up to whoever you like, change a skin or two, install an artificial tail if you please, let it be a beautiful extension of who you are. But just make sure that at the end of the night or week, you go home to your original body, to the Glorious Galatic Citizen you’re meant to be.
