Raincoat Garden Becomes New Habitat for Endangered Mutant Birds

By M.B. Alexander

No one buys a self-growing, garden raincoat planning to protect mutant birds from extinction, but this is exactly what happened to Petra Follik.

Petra, like most of us, was charmed by the idea of an ecologically friendly coat, embedded with seeds and rapid growth serum that turns into a lush green garden when it rains.

What she wasn’t prepared for was becoming a national conservation for an endangered man-made species called Picatoons.

The tiny Picatoons became nearly extinct after a mysterious mass exodus of the tiny birds flew up into space. It is unclear why the little creatures decided to fly so high in tandem and why into space? But only a few of the pink feathered, Elephant beaked birds, were left behind. All of them decided Petra’s lush green coat was the place to be.

Although Petra never bargained for such a bold and demanding fashion statement, she has been resigned to her fate as a national garden and walks around Washington Square Park with her bird companions all day long.
