Cloud Café Opens to the Public
When only child Alison Bloomer was a little girl she used to have tea parties with both her parent where she pretended they were all in the sky among the birds. The family did not have enough money to buy an aircraft of their own; at the time such vehicles were much more expensive than today.
As Alison gazed up at the traffic in the sky, her tea parties became more and more elaborate. Being in the sky was no longer enough, now littler Bloomer could imagine herself sitting in a cloud, dipping biscuits in a warm cup of tea.
Gradually her curiosity turned into a passion, which then turned into an obsession that led to a year-by-year plan to achieve her life goal. Allison worked hard at school until her grades granted her scholarships to best-learning facilities in the country. She became one of the most notable bio-engineer chemists in the country.
She was part of the team that developed the artificial weather clouds, which helped maintain cold weather of states like Colorado. The artificial rain that ended the big Midwestern drought was led by her. But Alison’s head had always remained in the clouds, her dream was like an unrelenting itch she could never let go.
This week Miss Bloomer finally made her dream come true: a café in the sky with cloud-like fluff all around it, along with tables, chairs, and drones that serve you the most luxurious coffee or tea time you could dream of.
The “Tea Clouds” are not actual clouds, of course, they would have been very cold and uncomfortable to sit in if they were even with the best sky suit. But these clouds are made of a fluffy, white, and cozy substance that feels as you would imagine a cloud would.
Alison reminds us all of the importance of dreaming big and crazy, even when it seems impossible to achieve.
