Air Car Hoppers Land on the Wrong Car

We’ve all experienced the occasional uninvited hitchhiker latching on to the roof of our aerial vehicle whilst traveling above the city.  Usually, it’s easier to ignore them than to make a stink out of it, after all, the Sky Hoppers and their gadgety wingsuits are usually on to the next car by the time you even noticed they were there at all.

Sky hopping is already a very dangerous illegal sport, but for the enthusiasts who can’t get enough of it, the laws are just words someone wrote somewhere. Usually, these fellows roam the sky rather freely at their own risk, most people are even oddly fond of them and gladly let them piggyback on their ride. Some even cheer them on and offer them a coffee break onboard their car.

But for one unlucky crew, the sport went from dangerous to critical, as they hopped on the vehicle of the Secretary of Defense, who did not invite them for tea. In fact, he was rather cross with them as his armed guards nearly shot them down mistaking them for terrorists, Luckily, the ridiculous, pink floral helmets they wore puzzled the guards long enough for them. to explain who they were.  They were still taken into custody, but not seen as a lethal threat.

The Sky Hoppers stated: “We will maintain our patagia lifestyle, we risk only our own bodies, which is well within our rights.”

In return, the Office of Defense responded: “You do not have the right to land on other people’s property. That is not within your rights.”

Which then led to the public outcry saying: “We don’t mind them hopping around on our cars, it's really cool.”

A petition is now circling the VNet calling for an adjustment to the Sky Hopping law; in which drivers that don’t mind the winged hitch hikers boarding them will place a sticker on them saying so. This will allow the Hoppers to board those at the will of both parties. That way the patagia lifestyle can be preserved without infringing on anyone’s rights.
